Movable Arpeggio Scale for any Guitar Key. In music, an arpeggio is a broken chord where the notes are played or sung in sequence, one after the other, rather than ringing out simultaneously. The word, like many other musical terms, originates from Italian, in which it means “in the manner of the harp”. These are formed from scales, The arpeggio is based on the relative scale playing the “key” notes or those affected the the key signature. For more information on arpeggios check out Wikipedia.
This pattern can be moved up and down the fret board depending on the key you are in. Find your starting or root note on either the 6th or the 1st string. Then you can play combinations of these notes based on this pattern for soloing or accents to your songs.
For soloing, play any of these notes over any of the chords of the key you are in. I find the higher notes on the top often work better, but low notes are cool also.
